Mothering is bad for your teeth? Our born history and philosphy

” Mothers generally have a bad tooth”

In my country (which are consisit from a sushi and samurai. nope, just a joke.) , this word is well-known common.

Will your child take calcium from you? Teeth getting scuffed? I do not think it is true.

Was TRUE that i met a mothers who had toothache from a cavity. So, It might be true in some point.

HOWEVER, I didn’t expect this is actually true to happen as I frequently forgot to brush my teeth and had minor problems caused by severe bracism after my son was born!

What the dentist found after being a mother.

Even people with extensive knowledge and awareness of teeth (like me!) feel her teeth are getting worse. That’s how busy the parenting period is. The situation, lifestyle change brings self-careless which creates deep dental caries.

but thats NEVER your fault. you just being a good busy mother.

As a super busy multi-activist also dentist mother,

What can I say to mothers who come my office with toothache?

What can I say to those who are going to have children?

After asking myself these questions, I happened created this page.

Our philosophy: The information we share should be based on scientific evidence.

Today, we are inundated with information, but there are also many things that make scientists wonder. ( Baking soda? Gargling with olive oil? etc. ).

Compared to the self-proclaimed “conscious” people who claim folk remedies that are true or not true, medical professionals have a clear responsibility while we share the knowledge with others.

Thats why, we use things that are well-founded, provable, and applicable to everyone.

But, One thing I’d like to add is that the so-called general evidence is frankly not interesting, not black and white, and not very exciteing.

But that is proof that it is the “most sane” at the moment (more on why later…).

It’s been a long time coming, but from this perspective

1: Dental knowledge based on evidence that can be used in daily life

2: Introduction of articles about women and teeth

(3: also my collumn for encourage myself from mothering:) )

Would be very happy if there is even one person who would be glad to know about it!!!
